Not sure on the law for online orders, but if something is advertised at a price in a shop - they are obliged by law to sell it to you at that price - no matter if it is an error - I have had that a couple of times - you just tell them you will report it to Trading Standards etc and they back down - of course online, they can always say there arent any left!!

That is not the law at all regardless of it being high street or online. Provided they tell you the correct price before taking the money they can increase it perfectly legally.

It is illegal for them to increase the price afterwards and take more money than you are told.

I get all my Jacks from SGS Engeneering.

Top quality, they sell Ally racing ones and low profile. And very cheaply too!

I have done the same in recent years, SGS have always been good,

However for Christmas I ordered a high lift jack for my dad and his 4x4 - I was actually a little disappointed in the overall quality this time around... The wheels and swivel bearings were poo, the grip on the handle needed gluing and the cover across the mechanism just didn't stay on. In comparison to the proper low profile alloy one we had for use under a lotus elise, it was shoddy.

All orders got cancelled I believe by Amazon. Said it was a pricing error. So can't comment if it was/is any good

Most, but anything that has been lowered or is low to start with. Hence why the low entry one was so popular when it was cheap. The one in the link is just a cheapo standard type.

Just got myself one of these from Costco:

It's massive compared to my old budget ones!
