Sounds like there is still air in the system if the pedal only hardens after being pumped. Check that you've got the calipers the right way on (left one on the left, right one on the right), and try to do some more bleeding since you might have air trapped in one part of the caliper.

To check if the problem is with one of them, to find which one, get a suitable brake hose clamp, and clamp the hose to one of the calipers and try the pedal. If it is hard, then you have a problem with the calliper you clamped... If not, try with the other one. In the case of 4 pots you can even do this with each brake line (4 in all) to pinpoint the problem even further.

Have you bled the system in the right order and bled the calipers in the right order? They have 3 nipples on each one and need doing in a set way (cant remember how now tho, lol).

Also, check all the unions are tight, air is thinner than fluid, so although you may not apear to have a leak, one of the unions might not be tight enough and allowing air back into the system.

Faling that, try leaving the front of the car up on axle stands and the back end on the ground with something holdiong the brake pedal down over night, this allows the system to kinda blead its self.
