As so many have said that is a stunning looking mini. Not usually a fan of the sportspack arches but this car changes my mind.

First of the minispares orders arrived, the main things in here are the MD266 camshaft and evo gear kit!

Pulled the engine but did a mock of up of the boost and coolant pipes to see if i could better package the engine bay.

Nice work as usual.

Quick question regarding fixings for the windage tray if I may?

Did your drill holes go right through the casing, mine did on a couple, presumably this is not an issue for oil leaking, did you seal threads with any RTV or suchlike?

Thanks chap. I didn't drill the block, John Guess did. No oil leaks, use a good dollop of loctite each time it comes off and on again.

Had a look through the thread again from the start. Really nice work on this. My in-laws have a red 94 Cooper dissolving in their garage (there 10 plus years), and your car has prompted me to ask them again about letting me do something with it. It’s red and white, but your red and silver combination looks absolutely spot on.

Amazing restoration. You're lucky to see the Wimbledon final live. By the way, I still can belive that Federer missed that game.

Congratulations on that MPI Turbo!

Thanks chap! I know, right?! I had tickets for center court this year and I'm gutted ? it's all luck of the draw! I like the new electronic ballet though.

Where do you get your stuff powder coated? Are you willing to share how much it cost to have those brackets done?

Ben

You get them done at any powdercoaters, Ben, Powdercoat Shropshire did mine as i drive past them on the way to work. I'd imagine those brackets would cost £25 to coat?
