Gordon has recommended I run two subs per channel in parralel.

Don't use Silicone sealant, the fumes it gives off as it cures will eat in ot the rubber used in the speakers! Use a polypropylene sealant.

Good to know. I actually bought caulk, thought that would do it?

:)

This i what i was going to say. So your going to be running stereo subs (two each side)? or do you plan to mono the signal??

If you're running stereo subs then you must make the enclosures separate, as each side will be doing slightly different things.

Spoke to Gordon and he said it won't be an issue as each side will be mono. Began the build this weekend by bolting in some metal angle and drilling the lip for my double thickness baffle. I also sealed and deadened the whole area.

The baffle is very tight with the carpet on. I am going to add draft excluding tape on the metal angle and edges. This will squash down to make it more air tight:

So my Genesis P2 ultra is here and Gordon added LP filters to my P4 to go active. I now realise I may not need to use the Amps crossovers, but can if I want. Question is should i use the PRS-80 crossovers or the amps crossovers to go active?

Use the headunit if it gives you enough control.

It will be easier to tweak going forward, taking a tiny screwdriver to the amp adjusters every time you want to make a little change or just to hear what it sounds like will be a pain.
Plus you will be able to have SQ and more streetbass setting all from the headunit...

Okay. I'll give it a go. Going to run an inline fuse for the tweets just in case when setting up.

Okay. A few updates for those interested:
I made up a double thickness baffle and routed out the holes. Then covered in acoustic carpet and marked out the screw holes with a soldering iron:

Decided to use sliver hex bolts for a nice contrast:

I then cut my cable, crimped it up and put it in some braiding:

I then added draft excluder tape on all the edges and bolted it in the car (used 6 along the top alone as it weighs almost 2 stone):

They're wired up two subs to each channel in parrelel to an upgraded Genesis Profile 2 ultra. I've got my HU set to run in mono so they all kick at the same time.

Thanks. Tempted to pop a thread up in ICE build forum, but feel self conscious as an amateur learning on the fly 😄.

That looks awesome, try get a vid of them running and upload it to photobucket as well and definitely do a sound build thread in the appropriate section, it'll be great.
