liking this. Proper retro van! and makes a change to the VW campers. i would keep it functional as its got bags off charm to it as it stands.

chuck  a mattress in the back and jobs a good'n  ;D  :D

Cheers. Nothing crazy planned. Just gonna stick it on those SD1 wheels and maybe paint the whole thing in red oxide primer and rock it like that until I can afford a proper paint job. Its got a fold out bed in the back already. I don't care how tatty it look though to be honest. I just want to use it. I'v waited bloody ages to get myself one!

When was the last time you saw a commer van on the road!!

Yesterday as it goes, and the day before  :P

Get it sorted for Busfest Jon.. We'll convoy up   :highfive:

But you'll have to have a 12 hour headstart

;D

Apparently it should be able to stick to 60 alright. Its that flat out hill in Bourton on the hill i'm worries about. My Sprinter struggles there I doubt a 41 year old van is gonna like that much haha. Specially when its full of my weekends worth of cider haha.

I have a tow rope

Red Oxide FTW... You know it makes sense   :gimme:

Good luck they don't end up on there very much. People who do have them tend to hold on to them. You have no idea how long its taken to find one!

There is a real nice commer mini bus for sale on the bay at the moment though.

With all the work done and a years MOT was 2k. Wont ever find a tax free VW camper with an MOT for that price thats for sure!

Mine is tatty but with a bit if elbow grease it will look nice again.

This one is pretty much the same as mine. Same conversion with side door. Only a year earlier. Its a one family from new low miler so that adds a bit of value but it didnt hang around when it went up for sale.

http://www.classic-c...o.uk/id161.html

Even at 8.5k I would say I would say that was cheap considering what VW you would get for the same money.

My mum had one of these for banger racing 31 years ago haha, she just told me it was perfect as she welded thick steel plates to the sides to help protect the wheels even more!
Crazy woman.

Looking nice and ratty, you wouldnt think it'd have an MOT! Good luck!

I would not like to banger race one of these haha. The crumple zone is your knees haha. Fair play though there was a pic someone of a commer van banger on the internet somewhere.
