120 out of a five port without forced induction is not an easy ask!

It's not all about the possible extra 3bhp right at the top of the rev range

people need to stop looking at the BHP figures, and realise that engines like this are built for drive-ability aswell as power, 120bhp with a 5port is going to be hard work to drive on the road where as the twin cam engines will provide a much more refined driving experience for the level of power.

Mine cost me in all 6k and I know as a fact to build a decent twinkam engine to produce that will cost more as I looked into it

And 100bhp is not hard from a 5 port at all

And no your right drive ability is proberly a lot better in the 16v and is proberly bad in my 5 port but I didn't build it for driving about town it's a weekend car and I wouldn't want it for any everyday car cost to much to run

It's set up wrong if it's costing you a lot to run, that or you have other money issues beside running a weekend car, and you can build a twinkam engine for £4000 easily, I've seen it done!!

it doesn't cost more than 6k to build a twin cam engine, you can get specialist components to build you one for around that so if you're building yourself you can probably half that.

But its horses for courses, some people like the idea of keeping everything A series others like the engineering challenge others opt for the near perfect mix of power and drivability, each to there own

No you can't lol iv already spoken the sc and they built me a decent spec 1380 on paper with them an cost a lot more

And it's going to be set up today but what ever engine you run modified running a weber 45 it will be juicy

As my engine sits if I took off my head and had 16v pistons you will then need to add a 16 v head at least £2500 more , engine management , plus pistons head gasket , manifold etc a lot more

There you go £8000 for a 1380 150 bhp which this 1380 above clearly isn't getting 150bhp for £8000 nah I'm okay il stick with my 5 port
