That does look tempting, was the PH1 the one with the ali bonnet?
i think I need to get out in one before I make any sort of commitment. There seems to be enough around here.
Pete there is a black MX5 in Rochester for sale, looks pretty decent and is up at £600

My daily, after 2 years of using my now no longer with us MPI Cooper as a daily, I bought this low mileage (40k) with immaculate engine bay and interior, sound underside and good mechanical, Metro 1.1s from 1993 to be my daily.
ts quiet, reliable, good mpg, comfortable, practical, warm, low insurance, and in almost brand new condition, and just £700 to buy with a years mot and tax. Its managed a 70 mile a day commute involving country roads, city center, and briefly motorway, every other weekend hauling me and 4 mates up the motorway for a few hours for a night out with mates in another city, managed a camping weekend for 5 people, and even stepped into half a year of car runs and motoring fun when my last mini decided to show me its acrobatic skills... especial the headstand. Cost me next to nothing, does everything I could want it to and more, and is even good in the snow. would recommend it to anyone. So, I give you, Martha the mental Metro, my daily driver and my clubby GT's savior.
