Does anyone know where I can get some US spec mk1 rear lights ( the indicator lens)

I know theses are mk2's, but I just scotch brite and then sprayed mine with two coats of Tamiya clear red poloycarb spray.

I got them from Jolly Rodgers. The shipping was much cheaper than 7ent when I ordered mine..

You can also get them at Moss Motors. They were also fitted to MGA's (although RHS on a mini is LHS on an MGA)

Is that legal in the uk though? Wouldn't it display a red indicator light instead of orange

I ended up with a couple of sets for the left side. Some of them were really red, the same colour as the brake lense, but others were more an orangey red.

 

They do look slighty orange when they flash though. If you fit red bulbs to the brake lights that makes the brake look "redder" and the indicators look more orange..

I got a set for my clubman. Using led lights though which means them still flash quite a bright yellow.
