You pay the postage and its a deal ;)

We are just sorting all of the final terms and conditions at which point we will know which countries we are able to offer competitive shipping rates to, and any countries we are not able to ship to.

I would expect shipping to be horrendous to canada, but that said the engine would be virtually free if you won so it might be worth it :D

When you say "All Profits" go to the nominated charitable cause, what are the cost items? how much of my £2 goes to the charity ?

surely it will depend on how many tickets are sold.

Good question.

It will all be explained in the actual listing when it goes live at the start of March. Basically we are not asking for anything other than the surcharge amount on the engine. So for example if the winner chooses to have a 998 engine built, you can pick these up for around £100-£150, that would be what we class as the surcharge. If the winner decides on a 1275 engine then the surcharge on these currently stands at £400

We are not classing any of the other parts costs as costs incurred by us as we want as much money as possible to go to the charity as it is a charity close to our hearts.

If however, the winner of the raffle, feels they would like to donate their existing engine then we will put the surcharge money in as well. This would of course be their own choice and completely their goodwill.

That's good to hear, there have been well documented instances in the past where some charitable activities have been less open...

Raffles are horrible things to manage, the Gaming and Lotteries act being the biggest pit fall...

I sincerely hope it goes well for you.

Ironing out the last of the details. All licences in place and after a good lengthy meeting with our council i think we are sorted.

Not as straight forward as we thought when we first had the idea, but should still be a fun exercise :)

Perhaps not so bad as you think. The car was over there once already to get a 1380 and the works put in, albeit it was in 2001,  but would be nice to have a straight up 1275 on hand.

By 'donate old engine' does that mean you could have your actual engine reconditioned rather than another off the shelf?

Absolutely that is an option. In which case full proceeds would go to Charity.
