It's not all about numbers though.

I have never before come across a forum that i want to check in on every day just to see what's going on. Most others i have been on, i only use when i have needed to ask a question or look something up.

This is true defiantly more of a community than just a tech forum

I like how we have lots of members, but a hard core lot that you sort of get to know.... without ever meeting them :)

I totally agree with you on that one. I even ask questions regarding cycling and get good responses

I like this forum - friendly advice even to my dumb-ass questions I sometimes pose :D

Still check it almost daily - even for a laugh as we seem to have good banter (most of the time), I used to be on Bimmerfest etc but found it too 'clinical' - Id rather ask somebody on here if I had a problem with my Beemer - and take the flak :D  :D  :D

I was just sitting earlier wondering how many countries we have TMF'ers in?  Seen plenty of posts from US/Canada (sorry not linking you 2 together) to Europe, Malaysia, Russia (I think) Aus, S Africa - got to love the diversity!

I think we are one of the most if not the most active forum.

I have joined forums not just for cars in the past and have found them to be very slow. You sometimes wait days for replies from anyone and there never seems to be very much going on and usually zero banter.

I think the only other forum i have been a part of that has been on par with this one was mercedes190.co.uk but i checked in recently and it's gone very quiet.

Ilike a forum which has a great community spirit and lots of great members and this is the only one currently that i know of that delivers

Ben

I'm a member of TheTownEnd which is Swindon Town FC's unofficial fan forum and there's 10-20 users that are on there almost all the time. If you start a new thread then you're likely to get a reply within an hour. And it delivers on Banter, if not goes too far sometimes... ;)

The MG forum is massive

Really? I am on mg-rover.org and I have to say it is nothing compared to here. It covers a whole range of vehicles, and I still check it out but I really don't think it comes close to here.

It's not all about numbers though.

This is very true. Quality, not quantity. And here the quality is for the most part pretty high! I also love that you seem to be able to do more to a mini that many other cars and so the diversity of different cars here is really good.
