Wicked progress this thing will be in full paint soon :)

 

On the other hand that poor mini van looks terrible, no matter how much you don't want a car why let it sit and get that bad, there is someone that would take it. Crazy people lol

Trouble is my mates family's lived at the farm for 30 years and never knew it was there! So it was put there when they were worthless ! I might try to dig it out a bit more and see if the rear number plate is still there!

Been hard at work tonight ! Still a fair bit to rub down tho. Made good progress all in 80 grit so will need to go over it all again in 180 before I start painting.


Will hopefully finish prepping inside the front wings tomorrow after work then start going over it all again.

Yeah that is always the way isn't they where used and dumped back in the day, hence vans and pickups and general early cars being hard to find now. It would be nice to see what the back looks like lol

Nice work on those floor pans they are looking great, it will be as nice underneath as on top.

Got the mini masked up and etch primed tonight!!!

Then spent a couple hours doing the sealer.


I'm starting to think I am going over the top with this car...... I'm not going to want to drive it for fear of getting the UNDERSIDE dirty!

Painted the underside tonight. Started with primer.


Then a good coat of stonechip.


Then gave it a good hour to go off with the heater on. Chucked the topcoat on!!!

Done some more work today! Welded up 2 unrequired holes in the bootlid the finished prepping it for primer!


As you can see I blocked down the doors so I could give them another coat of primer to eliminate any low spots and scratches.
Then on went the primer !



Also blocked the bonnet down will get that primed up again tomorrow night.
