Hi Harry,

I bought the head and basic conversion kit from someone on here, I think I paid around £1000 which is a fair bit less than it would have cost me otherwise. Then the bill from Specialist Components for the machining work and everything else - alternator, fuel pump, wiring loom, engine management package etc was pretty substantial! My advice would be however straight forward and how much you think it will cost, it won't! It is considerably more complicated and no where near as cheap as SC make out it is and you probably think. I will tell you if it's worth it though when I have driven it!

Thought I had posted that. I turned the nut down slightly which gave just enough clearance -

Have been having to do a lot of turning down and making special washers and spacers etc in the lathe as I go.

Looks good, wish I had a lathe. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to make a super duper engine
