Hello; Have a 76 Mk3 which I purchased in 07. Have been slowing fixing it up with suspension and many other improvments. That is until 31st of July last when I had a close encounter of the worst kind with a deer. I had no injurys but the insurance company called her totaled. I am completely rebuilding her including serious rust repair, Engine overhaul and going thru the gearbox. I shall be asking a number of questions in reguards to especially body work.  I'm 63 and have worked on British cars for a living all my life. I'm also a ham radio operator and would love to talk Mini's. de w0mgb/boB

I had just left our house about 7 am. Met a van and the deer crossed right behind him. I did not see it until I hit him. Scopped him up and he dented the rear of my roof as well. (good excuse for a sun roof) Was able to drive back to the house after pulling the metal away from the LF wheel. What a mess.
