Hey guys!
Just a quick question. As I've purchased my Mini second hand, I've had to spend a lot of time catching up on the build process and other "tricks" to ensure all is running well.
I've had the car off the road for the past 7 months during which an engine build has been undertaken.
My questions is to do with the ECU which is a Hydra lump.
The Hydra website makes it out (or could be my mis-reading) that plugging in the wrong version of the software is a big no no.
If this is the case, how do I check which version of the software I have installed on the ECU?
I have chassis / build number 129 on the roll cage if anyone close to those numbers could help / offer assistance that would be awesome :)
Or is it a case of "only plug in the latest software so you can upgrade it"?
The source I'm using: http://www.hydraems.com/software/
My confusion is from that upgrade page: http://www.hydraems.com/upgrade/tier/
I'm not going to be using the software myself, it will be going to a rolling road. Do I leave it with them and just tell them it's a Hydra?
tl;dr - Can you download the latest hydra software and just plug it in?
