Hi guys, new to the forum but I cant find this answer anywhere so hopefully someone can help me out...

Im building a 1293 Turboed, full caged, coil overed, fiber glassed, lightweight, fast bit of kit for the track/road.

I am currently building the front end up and running the cage through the inner wings to mount the top of the strut too, what length spring and rating are people running on the front on their race cars?

This Gaz setup has come with 9" tall 350lbs fronts but it makes the strut top right up in the wing.

I imagine I need 5/6" springs but want to ask before buying stuff that is too short.

Cheers,

i would not be using the standard pick up points for coil overs as you end up with a crap suspension rate.

That comes down to many things such as weight of each corner when loaded and how much suspension travel you want or have designed in. The angle of the springs and also where your top pickup point is.

I guess your set up has not got the same ride height and pick up points as mine and may not even have the same engine so my figures would not be much good.

If you can ditch the coilovers and go back to the donuts! I have coilovers on mine as it was when I bought it and it has never been right. Especially if you are using it on the road
