Lower Bulkhead Repair

Just cut out the old front foot well repair pan what a mess underneath, looks like I need to patch up the lower section and outer edge of the bulkhead (the bit that the floor sits on.

 

Can I do this after fitting the floor to use the floor as a guide? (I'll cut out all the rot first of course).

 
When I did the LH side I did it first and making the piece myself proved difficult without the floor in place.

P.S. I am supposed to be typing up a 3000 word essay for my teaching degree but the sun is shining and its too good a garage day to miss, typing tonight when the sun has set (promise)!!
