You'll have to forgive my ignorance on the finer details of 'fully restored' and 'concourse condition' but perhaps the wiser members can tell me whether my memory is playing tricks on me.

This mini has an LCB manifold with a centre box. I thought that these MK2 Coopers had the 3 into 1 manifold and only a back box.

Also weren't these wet suspension?

Thought Dynamos were original equipment.

Someone please tell me I'm wrong.

Restored and concourse does not have to mean standard factory spec only?

Alternators were often fitted as an upgrade by owners even back in the day.....

I think it is fair to say that there quite a number of incorrect details.  For nearly £20k I would want something a little more correct.

Not being funny guys but that is a very neat car.... so pulling it apart due to it having the wrong exhaust manifold and an alternator is a bit daft.

Both easy to remove with a spanner at the end of the day.

As long as it hadn't been de-seamed, a turbo lump fitted, and a massive stereo kicking out bass I think little details can be sorted.

I realise the price is a bit steep, but it is super clean and like new.

Sadly it is not just the exhaust manifold and the alternator; both things I could accept.  My comment was based on the fresh air scoop on the inner wing, which is not correct for that age of car and shows that it has the wrong inner wing fitted.  That and the lack of hydro, dash material missing, poor pipework and small attention to detail.  For £20k it should have that kind of detail.

Just noticed it is sold. Let's hope the buyer is fully satisfied. As far as I'm concerned it is a nice looking car but not a genuine car.
