I would also like to know what geometry to set my mini up.
It has 10x5 wheels Gaz adj shocks ,1.5 neg bottom arms, adj tie rods, adjustable camber toe rear brackets and poly bushed. It's a new build so everything is brand new and ready to set up

my car was set 1.5 neg on front , 5 caster, 1/16 toe out

rear was 1/2 deg camber toe was 1/16 toe in

with spax and Hoosier tyres  24 and 22 tyre pressure, if running road tyre

which were the early falcon 165 we ran 3 deg camber front

and 1 deg back  39 and 36 tyre pressure this was in AUS

this set up won the championship with the hoosier

That is how to. Not what settings. And that all depends on as i have asked above.

Why? Ok let's start with the joints. Some move some don't. That needs to be taken into consideration.

Tyres. Some have side walls that move more than others. Some have real sticky compounds these need to be considered.

As the object of the day is to keep as big a contact point on the ground at all times so you have the maximum grip and control as you can.

Then there is ride height. As this effects how the wheel angle moves then there is how much travel you are using as that will goven how much the wheel angle changes. And that will point you to where you might want to start with your static settings.

There is nothing complex about the suspension but useage and parts in the set up are critical in how it behaves and how you might set it.

As we can see by the info from Bob two very different settings for different tyres on I guess the same track /usage?

My settings are nothing like that as I have a different use. And different tyres.

7 x 13" supertrax with yoko a048 tyres
Rear beam with protech coil overs. Z cars front subframe conversion, disc brakes all round, main events will be hill sprints with some track days. I just want basic settings to work from. I understand that each car can be different and each event will be different.

So everything is rose jointed?

The Z cars front subframe looks like different pickup points to the original.

Tyres are road compound I guess? What size?

But I would stRt with factory caster bad about 1 degree neg camber.

But you are going to have to find out what they have done with the geometry and how it works in bump. Droop. And roll. Dud they change the anti dive/squat? And how that all works with the steering for bump steer. And set and adjust to suit.

You should really have this info from Z cars. Or you go and take the car to a man who knows these things and give them money to work out the how's and whys so you know how it is all working.
