Hello all,
It's with regret, I am having to sell my freshly restored 82 mini to fund the purchase of a van :-(
I was hoping you fellow enthusiasts maybe able to help me with a realistic valuation before I put it in the for sale section.
It was a three year Labour of love, which involved many new panels and parts throughout including also the brakes, suspension, wheels and tyres, and interior.
There is zero rust and has been cavity waxed both internally and underneath.
She also has about ten months mot.
I appreciate it's not original, so I'm not expecting original money, just something sensible.
All help gratefully received,

Cheers Steve

I'd be putting it up somewhere about 3.5k and hoping to sell for more than 3k, and if you need/want a quick sale, be open to offers around 2.5k

I would, however, put legal number plates on it before advertising.

Also there appears to be a rear fog light missing..

Looks like a very smart motor.

Will be interested to see the value as it's similar to what I am doing.

Good luck with the eventual sale.

I would of thought more than 3k really as it's mint condition. I'm just going on what I sold mine for 2 months ago which was near mint but still needed some money spent on it. I got 2.5k.

Thanks for your input folks, much appreciated. And yes, I do have a set of "legal" plates too :-)

Sorry but the amount of old rusted out scrap that sells for £1000's makes this (if it as described) worth for than £3000.

I was hoping for at least £3500,as I've seen some oversilled, overfilled right nails sell for daft money. I cut out any rot and replaced with either new metal or complete panels. There really is zero rust! The wheels are original 60's magnesium and are alone worth good money

its a beautiful little car, get some proper photo's done, and if your not in a hurry to sell, get it up for £4500 at least (if the engine runs well and thereunto aren't any faults elsewhere), someone will drive it and fall in love and pay. done.

It is genuinely a cracking little car.there's no point lying on here :-) if I didn't need a van, I would definitely keep it as I have a garage, and the kids love it to death and going out for cruise

I think that is gorgeous. In the end, it's too easy to say it's worth x amount of money based on 'what it is' which in the end is a lookalike of something else. Personally for what I want from a mini that would not bother me in the slightest, so I would pay a good bit more for it because it is a well restored, great looking wee car. If it drives anything like as well as it looks, then if I was standing there in the flesh I think I would pay £4-£4.5k for it. As you say, the cars that are out there that are nowhere near as nice as that are selling for around £3k, so if that is purely because they have originality on their side then I say to hell with originality. It's all about how long it's going to last, and stay looking as nice as that, and how it drives.

That is going to turn heads, and last a new owner many many years without needing panels replaced or anything done to it to make it look it's best, and that's worth plenty to me and I would suspect many mini lovers.

Thanks for you help folks, it's much appreciated.I'd be happy with between 3.5k and 4k, as I don't think it's bad price for a 100% rot free, long mot'd car that needs nothing doing.just need to find a decent van now !!
