I have about 150 photos.
The show was at Rockford, Illinois. for 4 days, lots of things to do. R/C racing for the kids and adults, photo comps, Treasure hunt (3 hour drive around the countryside), group photos at local airfield, BBQ, autocross (a sprint to us) anyone could enter, drives around a race track (Blackhawk farms raceway = http://www.blackhawkfarms.com/ ) My mate offered to let me drive his Innocenti 1001, much too nice a car to let me loose in on a race track, tution at a race school. Funkhana (silly games loosly involving a Mini) concourse, Banquet and lots more.
The guys over there love the cars, Some traveled for many miles from all over the USA and Canada. Most on trailers but I spoke to a couple who drove there 1000's from california!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The guy I know drove 8 hours to be there!
Sadly they get ripped off on prices $50 (£35) ONE USED Dunlop D1 alloy!!!!
They even organised a day out for the Kids!
Tickets cost me about £90 but that included 2x T shirts, a set of comenrative (sp?)number plates, entry to all the events (except the race tution and autocross) BBQ, goodie bag, 2 x tickets for the Banquet.
UK organisers with looking at what they do there.
This was my second Show in the USA, first was Spring Thing 2002, and It will not be the last.
