Took the Madbull, and 2 of my minis and a newly acquired skate ramp to a local empty car park the other day. With the ramp being intended for the Madbull, but that was until the speedo controller (sealed/waterproof mtronics and auto setting) started acting up and jammed the throttle wide open. So gave that one a miss, although it seams to work fine and then act up, so I'm not entirely sure  other than that the esc is stuffed of what's up.

So that just left the two minis, my green bodied basher, mostly made up of parts I had left over/spare, and standard other than some springs and m05 rally hubs for increased ride height. And my more special one with the blue/union jack roof. Still running a standard moor (I put the one from this along with the esc into the Madbull) but oil shocks, M05 rally hubs, f/r anti roll bars etc.

With the green one being the one that just gets abused and always comes back begging for more, I had no problems using it over ramp, or off the side of it onto it's roof when i got it slightly wrong. That was until after about 20 mins the motor was making loads of noise, but there was little to no drive. I feared that I'd finally blown the diff with all the abuse (the gears are pretty worn), But it turned out one of the front wheel nuts had loosened off just enough for the drive pin to fall out and disappear leaving just one wheel drive.

The other one ran faultlessly, other than trashing its front tyres, I just stuck to driving round a few cones. The one issue I did have though and I'll need to check the setup on, is quite violent even when gentle, lift off overseer (think steaming into a corner and yanking the handbrake). Witch if i could catch quickly enough leads to some pretty big fwd drifts or if not, swapping ends and facing in the wrong direction.

Does anyone have any ideas on what i can change to either stop or make the lift off oversteer iusse more managebale? As the rc mini sits don't seam to be around any more.

From memory its, got soft springs/hard antiroll on the front, and super sort/soft antiroll on the rear, and 2 degree rear toe in uprights.

Oh and i found what was up with the boat not working. The handset/transmitter is stuffed. Probably got wet, but I can't see anything physically wrong with the circuit board inside (bit beyond me), just that it doesn't work. So I spent an hour pulling the working guts from a spare handset with a smashed case and replacing them into the decent one, but with the failed internals/electrics.

There is a calibration thing that can be done on the mtronics esc thats worth a go cant remember the procedure though. Cant help on the mini handling front tyres usually improve things a lot though standard tamiya stuff have no grip at all

Ah I see sorry mine must be slightly different . It has a button on that can be used to force a new calibration. It has always been amazing though.

That one in there range doesn't, as it just a budget, plug and play one. The others in the range (and others I have like in the boat) do have a setup button.

But I've never had any issues with the mtroniks stuff (or the rebranded modelsport ones), unless it was interference, but than there wasn't much around that could have. Still I'll give it another try over the field with less things to hit (like curbs) and long grass to run into rather than my ankle.

Well just got rid of my awesomatix, by far the best shaft driven all wheel drive RC car I ever owned but at least I'm closer to affording my gearbox for my build.
