Anyone remember the Moonraker mag mount ?

There are a few new ones knocking about, prices have been hiked up a bit though. http://www.ebay.co.u...UUAAOSw3ydVzhCQ

Blimey after all these years!

My first chat on the rig was with a 2m bit of coax to a school friend around 200 metres away.  I upgraded after that to an old biscuit tin (as a backplane) and a cheap car aerial after that.

Do you remember the K40 mic's ?

My Dad had a K40 mic and magmount. I bought this when all those Avanti antenna's surfaced. I've not put it up yet.

It was all about Dipoles back then. I don't think my parents would have allowed it.

The were a couple of AM rigs about that i would have loved to have had.  One was the Commtron Nato and i think the other began with S.

They were both AM/FM with upper and lower sidebands. Illegal to use but ok to own
