Just a bit of fun, be interesting to see what was number 1 when your Mini was first registered. 

 

Look it up here: http://www.onlineweb.com/theones/

 

Then see if you can find the song on YouTube, and let us see if your Mini was first driven out of the showroom to something classic playing on it's radio or something awful.

 

Mine was this, in November 1979. Can't say I've ever heard of it before!

 

 

 

However the very first Mini's in August 1959 would have been driven to the sound of something much more familiar:

Wish I hadn't looked, it was Nilsson, Without you (Mar 72) the description says classic suicide song!, thought it was slade when I first looked but realised I was in the wrong year, off to check what was number 1 when I was born, hoping for better!!,
