Evening All

I've got myself the A-series spares central locking / alarm / electric windows kit - the hardware looks very well put together and solid, and the kit as a whole looks very comprehensive! The only problem is the instructions - in my opinion they are nowhere near detailed enough and therefore very difficult to follow!

First problem I have is the actuator and back plate assy - I've tried to get it in its correct location but it just gets stuck before I can get it there! Should I be putting it into the door with the back place closest to the door-card side of the door (so you can't see the actuator) or with the plate by the door skin (thus so you can see the actuator)?

Also, if anyone has any pictures of their installs (locking kit, electric windows or alarm), please please post them so I can see what you have done! I've also PM'd Rob at A Series Spares for some help, who I must say has also been very helpful whenever I've had any questions about his products!

Thanks in advance as always!

Hi, just picked up your message! I will send a reply but it might be easier if I get our workshop to call you tomorrow to answer any queries, it's easier sometimes to talk it through.

There's a rebuild thread I found with loads of pics. Try google images to lead to it. I'll try to find it tomorrow

Thanks everyone for all the help, that thread is very useful and I'd recommend it to anyone else fitting the kit. I've had to put a stop to fitting this for a while due to a few other problems with the car to be sorted, but this is a damn good reference!

Cheers
