Cat b allows you to salvage parts but the shell needs to be crushed, is that right? Fingers crossed. I atleast want the steering wheel off it

Can only be dealt with by recyclers etc as you need a specific licience.

Glad you're ok! Hope this doesn't put you off getting another Mini when the time is right.

If that's the aftermath of a roll at 40 I'm glad I had a full cage fitted when I rolled mine.
At least you're ok though :)

Best not show my Mum these photos!

I'm going to show my mum this, as she said there was no point in fitting a roll cage to mine!

What caused the passenger door to be caved in?

Looks like it hit some kind of post.......if there had been a front seat passenger they would have been unlikely to survive that side impact and the roof coming down.

I think there was a small tree in the hedge i trimmed. If i had spun the other way i wouldnd be here i dont think, as the car must have landed on the passenger side roof first... Must have taken most of the impact before it got to my side

no chance of that being a c, at best it will be a b although i've seen some that would be a b ending up as an a if there is a fair amount of blood in them.

Surely you don't want that back. The shell is too badly damaged to repair - at best you could get the salvage and put the rest back into a new Heritage shell, but I doubt that'd be economical to do. Sentimentality aside I'd say just get rid.

Watch out if its been run upside down the engine may have been subjected to oil starvation the main bearings and whatnot may be a bit FUBAR. Also you did bloody well to get out of that, one squashed min!

Sweet Jesus you were a lucky bugger.

Just goes to show how there is very little strength in a minis A B C pillars which is not surprising considering that age of the design.

Reminds me of this video on Fifth Gear when they rolled a 306 Cabrio. The A Pillars flatten instantly leaving you to eat Tarmac.
