As title. Not gagging for this, but i'm paid around the end of the month so it'd help if it was available to me around then!

Dont mind if its an early or late head, just needs to be a crack free big valve (35mm not 33mm) 12g940 head.

Posted too, unless you're close to GU10 postcode area.

Cheers!

In 2 minds as to whether to part with it but....

I have an old 12G940 with 36.5 / 31.5 valves, monster ports, unfortunately monster compression ratio, new valve guides, new inlet valves, no bypass and a matching brand new un used decompression plate to bring the CR down to 10.6:1 using a 1330. Bought as a bare head from ebay in a fit of enthusiasm. 2 kid's house deposits from the bank of dad and a wedding have kinda wasted the project fund, hence the head is still sitting on the bench.

I'm based in Winchester. Not sure how far that is from GU10 but I could probably be tempted to turn it back into cash?!

I'd draw the line at valve guides but i'm happy to clean up, decoke and lap in valves as thats all simple, nothing that involves a machine shop essentially!

Certainly interested, sounds like it would probably cost more than my engine did though!

My engine is a 1302 (+030), so it'd in theory at least work nicely. Winchester is a 40 minute drive from mine, would drive for the right head, (and i do 15 to the gallon!).

Will drop you a PM.

I did reply to you in a pm!

Yours sounds excellent, but is too expensive for me at the moment. Thats nothing personal, i can see you've spent the money, but i paid 250 for the engine and its not in a condition that warrants such a well built head.

The one im building is only fast road. MG spec essentially, just wanted the head to match.

I've got a big valve mg metro head, as far as I know its standard, obviously it has no bypass. Big valves and large ports. Bought this to go on my 1098 build , but now have a 12g295 that i,m currently having work done on. It could probably be put on as is. I did pop out a valve to check and is leaded. It origunally came with the mg cam, but i,m keeping that. 100 pound plus post about 12 quid from herpes.

The one lacking bypass is a turbo head i think, which has standard valves.

I'd be interested if you could double check the valve sizes for me!

Dont worry about the MG cam, just bought one.

A quick check online; the metro turbo is machined for bypass but has a screw-in blank cover, whereas the mg head has no bypass facility at all.
