Bit of a odd ball question but here goes
I have been restoring a CA van for the past year or so for a friend and we have now come up against a problem with the front coil springs they are broken and we can't seem to find replacments anywhere . So we are thinking do we need to get a set made ?( we have one spring as a pattern ) Is that possible ? And where ? what kind of price ?
Any info will be greatfully received
Thanks

were the cresta spring similar (probably harder to find anyway)

The CF had a similar double wishbone front sus  on a cross member ?

I take it that was different springs ?

victor is another to look at similar front suspension

If you have all the measurements for your springs I would talk to someone like Eibach. They can probably go through their catalogue of springs and find something from another vehicle that meets your specification.

Springs can be made and are not expensive.

The top company I have used for special rally car springs is Coil Springs Limited, Sheffield.

They made springs for a Rover 214Si a few years ago to my specific requirements which were 240 lb/in front & 180 lb/in rears with the ride height 1//2" higher than standard. The springs they supplied were exactly right.

Cheers for that I have been doing some more digging today and this company has come up and I have seen what measurements I need to take so they can be remade but one question I have how do I know what the lb/in will be? Does that work out via all the other measurements?

I think you'll find that if you call Coli Springs they will probably have the data. I've always just given them the vehicle and ride height. The poundage data they would have would be for standard springs, but if you want up-rated ones ask their advice.

Nice one
Standard springs are what we are looking for ( just as long as the body filler doesn't over load them ! )
Thanks again
