I've only ever seen them for MPi alternators which are mounted differently... don't know if it could be modded to fit tho?

Nice work. Even when the bonnet's down YOU know how neat you've made it. I like the finishing touch of adding a radiator cap! :geek:

You could paint the dipstick and radiator cap red like have using a small tin of paint i got from a model shop for a pound.

Best bit I love about mine is if you look though the grill just right you can see a hint of the yellow engine.

You could get a chromed thermostat cover, polish up the alternator casing then
laquer it, if the top of the rad is brass you could also polish that, what about
some nice blue HT leads.

mines pretty minging right now too, im just going for the black n chrome look, ive got so many wires everywhere im pretty worried about cleaning it while its in the car and dont fancy taking it out, the engine is red underneath all the horrible gunk all over the block
what did u do, take the sprak plugs out and wire brush everywhere and used gunk? did u have to hose it down afterwards? did u paint the back of the engine?

Yea thats i all i did i toook the spark plugs out and put some old ones in so no dirt goes in the holes, then i wire brushed it all and then gunked it. i the washed it all off ( put soemthing under the engine when you do this to collect all the dirt other wise it ruins the floor underneeth) Yea i onle painter the front and sides becuase i didnt want to take the engine out and i couldnt get to the back.(also you cant see it)

did u paint the back of the engine?

Because I’m different :geek: , I did paint the back of mine, but only because I had the head and manifolds off (head change) so I had loads of room to get at the back of the engine.
Although I might have not of bothered as its now black and rarely gets seen.

And if you don’t fancy making a mess all over your drive, I took mine to the local jet wash to hose off the engine. :dozing:
