What is the best way to remove Hammerite underseal? I covered my bulkhead in it, but ive decided i dont like it and want a nice shiny painted bulkhead!

Oh god tell me you didn't use the waxoil with hammerite in!!! :'(

Basically get scraping it off, you can use wire brushes (these will get clogged) and white spirit is good at removing it If I remember correctly :geek:

Hope it comes off well!

the waxoyl stuff is evil to get off. thinners melts it, then use rags to wipe off. it takes bloody ages though.

Or you can ues a 3M Clean n Strip disk. These are very good when combined with an electric drill.
Trust me, these things are designed to rip rust and underseal off.
