Unlike a lot of people, but then like a lot of other people, I have no garage but want to keep my pride and joy at home so I can use it when the mood takes me. I didn`t like the idea of it just standing in the open so I started looking around for "portable garages". After discounting loads of marquees that were far too big I landed on the one illustrated on a certain well known auction site. It cost £189.99 plus £10 post so call it 200 quid. It`s actually a motorbike shelter but just fits a Mini too, even a clubbie. It was delivered by Parcelforce in a cardboard coffin of a box inside which was a holdall of mind boggling proportions. When I unzipped said holdall all the parts were within and begging to be assembled. Putting it together took me about 2 hours but that was largely because I put the hood on back to front and the velcro fixing is very tenacious stuff! If you should buy one of these throw the ground fixings away and get some proper ones as those supplied just pull out of their holes. The whole thing is lockable both sides (not thief proof but a good deterrent) and vented at the top both sides with covers should they be required. Cheers, thanks, I did manage to find them after searching for 'portable motorcycle garage' as above but they all boast to be the best so getting a recommendation is good :)

If you`d given me 5 mins I`d have quoted the number lol. Joking apart I can recommend this gadget, well worth having if you haven`t any other kind.  :shifty:

I've got the Mini Spares all weather cover which is brilliant but the pram hood style will make things easier :)

I was wondering about condensation as my drive has large stones down the middle and slab sides for the wheels so in the warm weather it might get quite damp inside.

I had one of the above and found it really useful but then a gust of wind got underneath it and where it was locked it snapped an dthen tore straight through the canvas. I kept meaning to fix the front down some other way, never did and regretted it.

Condensation needn`t be a bother as either side of the thing, at the top, is a mesh grille with roll-up covers that allow a nice through-draft (or draught, can`t remember which) that`ll keep your Min aired while the rest of it keeps it dry.

Does anyone know if this would fit a van/estate?
I believe they're around 130 inches long.
This "garage" is 135 inches so it would be a squeeze!
Just wondering if they'd fit over the back end with the sloping ends of the cover.
