Ive waited 2 months for a stage 1 kit and carb kit from minisport.

it finally comes, no instructions, but im ok with that.

I go to fit the inlet manifold and there is a big threaded hole in it! and no blanking bolt to blank it off.

i then go to fit the carb to the manifold, and there are no bolts supplied with that neither!

So i ring them up to ask if they had not sent them by accident.

They said "nah, we dont supply the bolt for the manifold, as we dont know weather you have a servo."

I said "ok would you be able to send one out to me?"

They said "sure!"

then i carry on talking to him for a while and then he mensions he wants £3 plus postage! i dont mind the cost but its the fact ive waited 2 months to fit this kit, i go to fit it today and i dont have 3 bolts to make it work!!

Load of **** for what should be the best mini supplier!!

heard a few issues with the minisport stage one kit (mainly it not fitting correctly - manifold and exhaust). When i took my car to my local mini garage to get a stage one kit fitted (before i worked on my own car), he said only buy the minspares one. send it back and buy the minispares one!

I would dispute that.

What is surprising is that i) he got most of what he paid for and ii) it came through in two months - pretty good time for them! Though I know they would have taken 100% payment at the time of ordering.

I ordered the minispares stage one kit. It came with the blanking plug but not the studs.. I planned ahead and ordered the studs and some new washers and nuts to make it all nice..

It took only a couple of weeks to get posted to Australia too

Admit it, you all had one if these. I happen to collect them now, 3 orders in a row, same problems. If i could only use PayPal on spares..

The only Issue i had with the MiniSport stage 1 kit, was that the manifold weld was too thick, meaning the nut didnt fit properly, I used a smaller nut.

I've never waited more than 3-4 days with them, and probably used them 5 times over the last year

Always had good service from Minisport. Some despatches delayed due to out of stock, but they make that clear when I call to place the order. Twice, damaged goods replaced with no argument whatever. No complaints at all.
