That shell is in great shape. I love how the inland weather treats the cars. What are the main things that will need fixing before it heads to paint?

Battery box is rusted out (only rust on the car). The front and rear valences need some straightening, along with some panelbeating on the front floors. There's a dent on both sides of the car just behind the doors. The driver's door will probably need replacing. Otherwise, just some general love to get it nice and straight again.

Will you be tackling the welding jobs yourself? I'd think that if you start doing the bodywork too, then you'd be set to do complete restorations without any assistance.
I won't be doing the welding, no. I think that's asking for trouble in my case

That image with the new parts makes me excited. It's going to be awesome once it's all fitted to a freshly painted subframe.
