That shell is in great shape. I love how the inland weather treats the cars. What are the main things that will need fixing before it heads to paint?

That dellorto website is super cool! So much spares and brand new carbs available.

Battery box is rusted out (only rust on the car). The front and rear valences need some straightening, along with some panelbeating on the front floors. There's a dent on both sides of the car just behind the doors. The driver's door will probably need replacing. Otherwise, just some general love to get it nice and straight again.

I like the look of the FZD Dellortos, never seen a set over here though!

If I come across another set for sale, I'll let you know if you'd like?

Thanks, but I've got enough carbs now!

Top work and what a great find!

Received a new Heritage battery box today, along with a new seam strip and clips. I've also sourced a parcel shelf that will be used to fix the speaker holes that were cut into the current one.

Will you be tackling the welding jobs yourself? I'd think that if you start doing the bodywork too, then you'd be set to do complete restorations without any assistance.

I won't be doing the welding, no. I think that's asking for trouble in my case

It's been a while without doing work on this car, but it'll finally get an update. Some parts were recently purchased to rebuild the front frame entirely. The car will be getting all new bearings, bushes, joints etc.

I'll hopefully make a start this week on the hubs and calipers, but in the mean time, I got the calipers stripped and split :

That image with the new parts makes me excited. It's going to be awesome once it's all fitted to a freshly painted subframe.
