Did a little more work on the car today. I removed the brake and fuel lines :

The hubs and lower arms are now clean :

You call that clean? -Must be the thin air at that altitude affecting your brain.

Now do it properly before i get the whip out :trooper:

I cleaned them further, just for you  ;D

Indeed. Still fresh behind those mounts.

First two coats of Hammerite on the hubs and lower arms :

I'll only be using this paint on the hubs, upper and lower arms, radius arms, driveshafts and Hardy Spicer joints. Everything else is getting sprayed to be nice and smooth.

Hammerite?

Used it for more years than i care to remember -but due to legislation as to what chemicals can be used in paint now the latest stuff over here is absolutely complete rubbish. Poor adhesion & so pathetically thin it's almost transparent.

Can i borrow some of your foreign weather? i'm meant to be working outside on the '98 but i doubt i could stand upright in this soggy wind!

I haven't had issues with it this side. Maybe the laws are different here, so that's possibly why.

We're heading into winter soon, so I'm sure you'll have some warmth soon.  =]

It's OK for you to comment on winter approaching but you're on the coast.

Don't forget Jared is up a mountain.... i wonder if he can yodel?

Let's hope he doesn't post any pics of himself in lederhosen :ohno: Not a sight any of us want to see!

Jared: when is that Mk3 going to be finished?

Yeah, it doesn't get too cold here, although we do have a lot of rains during winter (nothing like the UK though).

Now that is a dangerous question. Asking a man when the classic car project will be finished is probably worse than asking a woman her age.

I had to look up what that was - I will not be wearing one   :shifty:

The Mk3 will hopefully get some attention soon. Might be fetching some bits this coming week for various project cars.

Think the only time a mans classic is finished is either when it gets passed on or when ourselves pass on 😜.

You mean Jared that you don't like wearing tight shorts. What sort of classic owner do you call your self 🤔

I wear shorts on a regular basis being out in SA, but definitely not tight ones!
