Hi every one,

i am new to this forum but i would like to share my build with every one
so here it is. I have my own garage and have been preping and importing jap imports for the last ten years
until recently they have dried up no profit so i thought i would take a year out to do something diferent.
being into motor bikes including drag racing for many years and owning a few minis i had to combine the two,
then i met zcars, i orderd the kit front and rear frames for an r1 injector, i bought a 2004 r1 engine off ebay with loom and injector bodies and for the mini donor a 1275 1995 mayfair with 16,000 miles one carefull lady owner it was a mint shell.
unfortunatly i had to sell my 300bhp evo when i had a ride in a zcars mini so her goes enjoy.

So you're building an r1 kit and a busa montecarlo, are you keeping the R1 and selling the monte?

No. Your profile says: "Drives: ZCARS R1 AND MONTI CARLO
Engine: 1000 AND 1300" and "I have my own garage and have been preping and importing jap imports for the last ten years
until recently they have dried up no profit so i thought i would take a year out to do something diferent."
Indicating that you will be trying to sell these cars at a profit. Plus you haven't mentioned the monte?

sorry if i was a bit misleading, i am taking a year off work and i may start something else next year, but i will still be keeping my garage as its not to mutch rent. i have a monticarlo down at zcars its the one with the blue frame dont know if you have been there lately. the monti is factory built so this was no fun to me and thats why i decided to build the r1 while i wait for the monti.
i will be sva testing the monti later this year and hope to race it next year

so i can have a bit practise driving the r1 in the meantime
hope this clears things up
cheers ian

I'm very jealous, lol.

:w00t: latest update
The wireing harness quite easy. I bought 2003 r1 manual on cd rom, pdf printed wireing diag as poster sise,
stripped all lighting, indicator and clock looms. tilt swich not sure of so i left it in but filled it with glue in the upright position. ais removed, relay box removed and some would argue about the exup valve i choose to keep the wireing and build a digital potensiometer to trick the ecu that its opening and closing on power up.
I ended up with
live for ecu
live for ignition
live for injection sys
live for starter
and earth.

the ais was removed completly and i used mole grips to pull the elbows from the head
then tapped the holes with a M10 tap no drilling reqired then inserted 4 M10 x 10 grub screws.

the centre of the oil cooler bolt was drilled and tapped 1/8 npt for oil pressure out and temp.

thats it for now on the engine
