I think I will just use a bare subframe when I do mine, may add something to it to locate in rear shock absorber mountings to get tubs in right place

 

My subframe was completely rotten so I scrapped it  :D

I did that and it worked well

 

 

I'm not 100% sure my shock mounts are in the right place in the first place (well the driver side anyway), it's had a repair piece welded in at some point in the past and also it's had a bump in that corner so stuff isn't straight. I found when fitting my jig mount that there wasn't a good alignment between the holes on the jig and the holes at the top of the shock mounts so it took some brute force to fix in place.

 

I don't suppose you know what the distance is between the centres of the shock mounts do you? if the car is wrong and the jig is right then I'll simply use the jig to ensure my new tubs are in the right place when it comes to it.
