Hi,
Can anyone recommend a garage near hitchin where I can get my Mini serviced? Its needs a little TLC that goes beyond my limited skills!

Can't speak from personal experience, but Cambridge Miniworks isn't too far from you - it's in Great Shelford.

There's a guy called chris spinywin or something. He's well known in the area. Pm if you want his number I'll see if I can get it for you.

When I lived in the area I had all the work done on my mini & MG Midget (inc M.O.T.s) carried out at K&K Stevenage......http://stevenage.cyl...s-19868883.html
I found them skilled at working on older cars and reasonably priced.

I need a service, the thermostat is flakey as is the fuel sender, think it needs a tune up as its running rich. I also have an oil leak - I think from the sump

Peter baldwin is the man you want for the tune up. He has a rolling road. He's only in Royston.
I'm in Hitchin as well. would be cool to meet a few more mini guys in the area.

Chris Spennewyn is just North of Hitchin on the A600 and he really only does Minis.
Go towards RAF Henlow from Hitchin and just as you leave the 40 mph limit after Ickleford he is on the right on the small old industrial site with the big house at the entrance.

Yes I did mate. Been so busy the last couple of months! Haven't really been out in the mini much
Cooper man, that's the gut I was on about in my first post.
My mate has the workshop next door to him.
