they seem cheap i wrote to them and they quoted me £450 including prep thats on a mini with all rust parts replaced and body already filled, so it could be cheaper for you but if not it depends on how good a finish you want it your not to bothered give it a go your self.

You tend to be a little heavy on paint when you first start out.
2 litres of paint £20
5 litres of thinner £12
Couple bits here and there and your away..
Read the guide above and it will help..
if you get runs you can flat them out, if the paint ti dry, it will buff..
worth trying uot on the bonnet, see how you get on, if it is not great, flat it down and re-prime.. if it is good do the whole car and put the remaining 700 quid in your pocket and walk around with a big smil and sense of satisfaction knowing you did it al yourself..!!

Also when building it up together i fear i will be missing few (or more) bits and pieces that for them would probably be really easy to find but for me it would take ages...
Going to think it over this week, ive sent the doors to minidoors.com to be repaired so should get them by then.
Thanks again for your help.

Well after spending a day lookin at minis(ebay most of them) i simply didnt want to add my name to the "sell due to unfinish project" so i said f*** it ill give it a try!
So here are the results:
and some more (just click on them)

i really cant believe i made it.. all with a really small compressor, some paint+thinner, tape, plastics to cover the wall, 4 bin bags (for the wheels) and 3 hours in there (4 coats) and another 10h reading stuff about how to paint.. first ever paint job!
Dont ask what colour the paint is, it was originally Navi Blue but i kind of didnt like it and i wasnt going to buy another 2 litrs!!! so i added some white... doesnt look too bad does it?
i think this project proofs that everything is possible...

if you take your time, once you get into it, its not as hard as it looks, just having the balls to have ago.
i plan to do my own respray on mine when the time comes, but i have the advantage that i used to be a paint sprayer in a previous life.
my first mini paint job in the early 90's(after practicing on loads of Fords)
pic doesn't do it much justice, but it was Amythest pearlesant paint.

i have to admit i have seen many paint jobs from people who have tried themselves and you never get the same finish then if done properly.
if you are interested then we would be happy to arrange something?
we can deliver and collect also if required

nice job so much more satisfaction when you do it yourself i am on my 2nd one.what i would say its worth getting hiring or borroeing a good polisher.and quailty compund folowed by a good machine polish the end result is so pleasingthanks apreciate it, but ive already finished! its not too bad but it costed me £9 for the primer, £45 for the paint, £8 for the sandpaper.
