Looking good !
I think it looks better without the centre caps

Thanks! Yeh I agree, the caps only looked good from certain angles :/

So I've finally got the Mercury's sorted :D. Fresh tires for the fronts, and parts worms for the back (apprentice wage ;-)) Had a go on the lathe at work and made a couple inserts for the dodgy wheel. Didn't come out too bad, and the holes lined up with no problems what so ever! They will be on after Christmas. Also, huge huge thanks to TMF member Anthony30, who not only sent me a load of his old wheel nuts as I needed one, but also didn't want anything for them

Hi, great build, loving your work,

- I do have to ask though, with that exhaust pipe, doesn't water pool inside of it, (not just in the rain, but the water produced by the engine)?

thanks and good luck,

Eef,

Love the look of your mini. The black grille makes the front end look much cleaner and all the extra little bits are very cool.

Eef,

Thank you :-).  I haven't had any trouble with the exhaust at all, or even with the stinger I had on the old one!

Love the look of your mini. The black grille makes the front end look much cleaner and all the extra little bits are very cool.

Cheers :D I'm trying not to over do it haha

Those wheels look sick! Really suit your car. How much do they poke out at the front and rear?

Yep :D

Oh no.What happened?

I crashed my pride and joy  :(

Gutted for you mate, same shape as mine now

Cheers, oh dear, did you crash yours too?

Ouch. You must rebuild Nad!

Defiantly!

Cheers guys, I will confirm that "NAD" will return! I think I encountered lift off oversteer. Here's how it happened;

Basically, there is a pair of bridges local to me, traffic lighted. Last night was rather damp and slippy on the road. I was in a que of traffic waiting at the lights. Lights changed, following a few cars, realised I was getting a bit close to the car in front, mid corner at this point, lifted off, rear starts to slide, I attempted to counter it, it gripped suddenly and I pelted into a stone wall at about 20/25mph.

Also, can anyone give me tips to recognising if I have bent my subby or floorpan? Hopefully will cut the front off tomorrow.

Mine was crashed 25 yrs  ago long before I bought it. Got a project on here so you can compare

Oops, doesn't look that bad of damage, has the scuttle been damaged? the windscreen hasn't cracked so it doesn't seem like it's affected that area. does the door open and close ok? Is the gap different at the back of the door? Have a look at where the subframe is bolted to the floor, is it dented? Is the steering off centre?
