With a Stage 1 Tuning Kit do I still fit my lambda sensor, reason I'm asking is there doesn't look like a threaded hole for this with this kit.

Yes you need a lambda sensor.

Might be worth a call. Standard exhaust manifold good on an SPi and if I was going after market LCB I would want the boss fir the lambda at the bottom of the Y

Thanks for the reply bud,
So that kit does not have the boss on it, I would need to get that done. Why at the bottom of the y does that make and difference.

Check with Minisport it maybe just the pic. Have a look at minispares they know what they are doing. You want the lambda to "sniff" the gases from all the cylinders for the best reading for the ECU.

Does that mean With this kit i can keep my lcb with the sensor boss. Just thinking whilst I'm at this stage should I put a after market lcb on or keep what I have.

Honestly I would keep what you have.
I have the K & N inset for the SPi plus RC40 exhaust after the cat.
Works great!

not much point in moving away from the standard manifold and front pipe. On the injection cars they are as near as dammit an LCB by nature of their design, and a better fit for overall positioning of the exhaust. A cat back and K&N filter element is probably all you need.

Thanks guys for the help .well if what I have is good enough then I will keep it. Might just get a nice shinny side exit from cat back.

My SPI is 1293cc, 274 cam, stage 3 head and a K+N and it has the standard manifold and runs great.  As the above, I have a cat back RC40.

I've got a K&N and an RC40 single box system, seems to work fine as well. Didn't get the full kit as a lot of people mentioned it not having much improvement. If it works for psmini it must be fine.

I have read that the standard header/manifold flows extremely well. Save your money and maybe put it into a stainless cat back so you don't have to worry about rust.

definitely get a stainless cat back. One of the best cases of spend a little more gain ALOT. They aren't even much more expensive in the first place.

I have had a Play Mini stainless on the car for over 20 years now and it is still as shiney as when I got it. I had a LCB on for a short time but switched back to the standard manifold when I was trying to get the emissions down a few years back. Didn't really notice much difference.

This is the kit I would use if asked by a customer to fit a stage 1 on either injection minis.
