Looking good and pretty quick progress. I considered that yellow for my estate before deciding on something totally different.

Thanks it has leaped a bit now it's of the frame. Final colour is still to be decided but a shade of yellow it will be. Hope to have it painted for the summer rebuilt for this time next year.

How come you are doing the engine bay a different colour to the exterior?

Long week end and only one day on the mini and two gardening (something wrong there)
So set about finishing the welding.
Replaced the top section of the inner A panel as it had been attacked with the rust worm.
Finished the inner seal to the door step which was missing a section and was not welded together completely.
After a major tidy of the work bench my eldest set to some filler with an assortment of air tools and sanding blocks. Had to rain him in a bit as he was liking the dust cloud a little to much.
Roof is nearly done and in etch primer awaiting high build and final stooping before paint.
Welder is put away and all the sundries awaiting the next project?
Another good day on the car it will be in final primer ready for paint.

Spent a whole day filling sanding and general tiding up the body.
Started with a grey primer body shell.
I got some 1k stopper in a tube and what a difference it makes fills up little imperfections a treat.
So at the end of a day i had a grey primer body shell although a little flatter in places.
few more days work and it will be ready for paint.

Hopefully not, cannot wait but a little more prep required. The one thing i remember from the green Clubman is to not rush the prep and check the masking before mixing paint.
I did not finish the roof rail properly on that one and it was a little light on the paint which no one else noticed but me every time I got in.
Have most of what need including masks, primer and the black paint for the interior still not been brave enough to order the Yellow but will do next week.
Need a new spray gun as my dads old one has had it. Last time I used it was 20 years ago so I think it has earned its keep.

Yeah I no what you mean, prep is key, if the prep inst there then you just regret the finished product.. but sure you will be OK its a massive mile stone to get to that...

So hacked off at work today lit up the front tyres of my poor Juke out of the car park and spent my lunch time filling and sanding.
Quite cathartic it is.
Car looks more like a cloudy sky every day.
