For the cam locking tool, can you not just cut half of the cambelt off, slide the new one over, then cut the half-original free? Just a thought

Pretty sure there's another way on the B series to lock the cams without a tool, IIRC watching one of Danny DC2's vlogs on youtube I saw it done on  his old black DC2 (using a drilbit?).

The problem you seem to have is the cambelt is not tight, so which is the correct position to set the cam gears to. Your safest option is to time it up correctly. If you do that you'll know you won't be kissing pistons with valves.

the pics of the belt were just to show the slack in it if I take it around to tdc on pully to casing the cam notches are spot on inline after watching the video think I'll have to get some 5mm drill bits out

This morning before work I set it to tdc got my self 2 drill bits as per video and hey Presto straight through the top plated and located into both cams. I have cancelled the key lock order from h-tune. And will be changing the belt pulley and pump tonight. Thanks danie garry for the video link and hopefully saving me pennies if h-tune refund me as they still haven't dispatched it yet ;-)

There is a catch20170614_225333.jpg

as I knew I would be waiting a while I decided to do another mini project which is close to the finishing line but is now in the way of ekos Honda swap and other body mods.
