A MOTed car is £4k and a restored car a bit more. The £4k cars are still tatty so don't expect a minter.

The RSP and Mainstream Cooper had a carburettor. The Cooper changed to injection in 1991 because of increasing emissions constraints so only about 21k carb Coopers were made. That makes them special, particularly the RSP. The RSP as well as being much rarer has more features: spotlights, half leather trim, sun roof, oil cooler. It also introduced bonnet stripes to the production Cooper, which the mainstream did not have. Bonnet stripes had been a feature of John Cooper's own team racing cars in the 50s and 60s. The RSP is the only Mini to have JC signatures on the stripes as standard. There is also a great RSP community thanks to Roger Hunt and the RSP Cooper Register.
