My first car and mini was this a 91 city, I bought it from my friend who had fitted a metro lump to it and metro 4 pot brakes, the head had been ported by him quite a bit and the carb need was "adjusted" with his lathe, that all coupled with a stage one kit made a very fast and fun first car/mini.
The city came to a sticky end, It was probably the first time I wasnt speeding without my mum in the car and some cretinous elderly lady pulled out from a t junction without looking, due to the slight rain in early summer, dispite dropping anchor it just destroyed the front end, bent the a pillars pushed the dash and toe board back. I actually cried about it!!
Which leads to the next mini I bought. A piccadilly, It was a bit of a dog in all honesty but I was 20 and it served me well for periods of time
The engine seized on my birthday. so a local mini bloke wanted some bits off my previous crashed mini and he had an 1100 engine so he fitted me his engine in exchange for parts
did a bit of paint work in the car park on it and sold it when life started getting in the way, it looked like this the day I sold it.
In the meanwhile the mrs (Girlfriend at the time) had bought a 79 special for £500 needing some minor tlc and a rear subframe. she owned it for about 7 years but family etc etc so it was sold in 2007 like thus...
It was all original except form the carpet which was beyond repair so was replaced with just some carpet unfortunately.
the second picture is an all time favourite picture of mine of it. then i bought it back august 2015 and started a ground up rebuild on it.
