Got the heart of the beast back today from Jim at RACE Engineering, gave us some great advice on fitting the engine and running it in

 

And a big thanks to R Kid for the use of his van, can't wait to get it running now

Not been on here for ages so just read this entire thread for inspiration on dragging mine back out... must be 5 or 6 years since i touched it, new house 2 kids ect... but now im ready and this thread is a great motivator. Well done jimmy, is it still on for the deadline an a few weeks? Think it can be painted and running?

With very little welding left to do, and my next 3 monthly gas bill due on Tuesday I thought we'd better get it boxed off. I made a couple of a panel to wing strengtheners and got them welded on

 

 

 

I recycled the battery earth clamp thingy

 

 

I also welded some of the brackets for brake lines, fuel line and battery cable but forgot to take pics. Hopefully we'll have it stone chipped and rolling again very soon

We plan to have it stonechipped and body colour underneath. R kid just turned up with his lads compressor.

Cant wait to see some colour on it.. maybe there will be some colour when I come to drop the temporary wheels off

Late shift in the garage tonight, got brush on sealer slapped on anywhere near a seam

 

Good stuff, you don't need a can of stella sniffing this stuff haha

 

My nephew is  coming round tomorrow to stone chip the underneath, we'll soon have it the right way up again
