Looking good, when are the GT stripes going back on?

I need to have a play with the drivers door first, they were only thrown on for the mot. My garage time has been non existent due to covid, maybe when the kids go back to school I can get stuff done. Cheers

Fearing Daviewonder was catching me up in our "race" I thought I'd better pull my finger out and get the GT stripes out. I've been putting it off for ages

It has to go down as the most nerve wracking job I've done on the GT, but glad it's out of the way now. So anyway I've been out for a blast this morning and took a couple of photos on route

And r kid turned up with these window winders to match my gear knob

Got an order coming from minispares this week for a couple of bits to finish it off, if they are ever finished that is lol

Good job on the stripes, is that the last task or is there any other work planned other than enjoying the fruits of your labour.

I need to put the side wheel arch/sill trims on. I kinked the first one lol. I need to get it on a rolling road at some point too. Also thinking of ordering a pair of cobra seats with brown corduroy centres, very 1970s haha

I thought it might be an idea to mot my bike I've not ridden for 5 years while working on the GT, with a view to letting the magic of ebay turn it into some nice seats for the GT. It passed with no advisories

But who am i trying to kid? I enjoyed it too much riding it to the mot I'm now keeping it lol. I'd better start saving up

I finally pulled my finger out  and fitted the sill and arch trims from Minispares, much better than my first attempt when i kinked it

We went to Avro Air Museum for its classic car day yesterday, and I've decided to trade the GT in for a Vulcan bomber, with cash my way lol

Won't fit in my garage though

Funny, I have "ALU" wheels on my classic Vespa. They were the first to come up with tubeless rims for the Vespa about 30 years ago. Only a couple (10 sets or so) of prototypes where built -
I have one of these sets. :proud:

Yours look awesome, by the way.

My wheels are RG type James B. Have you got pics of the Vespa wheels? I used to have a vespa with the standard wheels you split in half to change a tyre

these are single piece and fitting the tyres is a right pain in the back

Nice one, they're made by the same company. I'm pretty certain they have made in Italy stamped on them
