Floor and inner sill repaired and seam sealed.
Door step completed.
The scuttle had a large piece of gaffer tape over this nasty looking hole.
Scuttle removed and rot cut out.
New panel spot welded in.
All welded and primed, on to the next bit!

Well it's been a long time since I updated this! Next up was fitting the two piece front end which I had bought from Arc Angels including the Mk1 bonnet, it took a little fettling to fit as I wanted but I was pleased the fit in the end, I used motorcycle fairing bolts through into plates attached to the A panels and the bottom is fixed by bolts from the subframe.
Next was cutting out for lights, grille and fitting the Somerford Grp 2 arches. Also tried my revolutions for size.
Then on to rubbing the Midnight Blue down and filling where necessary, not my favourite part of the job but had help from a couple of friends!
Then off to my mates shed for a coat of WT3
My son getting excited about impending trips out in the mini, i'd had it three years before he was born!!! He's now nine years old.
I came home from holiday two weeks later to be greeted by this, cheers Rich!

Mean while I stripped this 998 engine.
Block all clean.
Honed and painted.
Timing in the Mg metro cam, this was used in conjunction with a 12g295 head and Hif38 carb and all new engine bearings and rings to the original high compression pistons.
Engine fitted along with most ancillaries.

Fast forward another 2 years! The car was fitted with an Mg metro 1275 engine which I refreshed and fitted about 18 months ago this was fine until I wasn't happy with a rumbling noise that I heard coming from the gearbox,so I thought I'd take it out over this winter and see what was wrong.
You will have to bear with me while I re equaint myself with imgur!!

Because of lock down my mate was unable to come and help me to lift the engine back in so i came up with a plan to get it in on my own, it does help that the front is removable.
