Few more parts arrived.

Opted for a MED stage 2 flywheel assembly fitted with an AP Racing clutch plate, hoping this will take the traffic light launches well  :D

clutch%201_zps1vrboq2h.jpeg

Then ive opted for a set of fully straight cut st ratio gears from mini spares, went for the full kit.

Next up is a KAD internal linkage, decided to opt for this to try gain some extra ground clearance also because ive plans for down the line that may need room to tuck a huge downpipe up in there ;) I personally think it looks cool as feck.

And lastly my sc pulleys arrived.

Next week im going to see my painter, hoping to book the shell in for end of august, though this may be a when and if he will take it situation.

Also need to start looking at a cooling system, swaying towards a fiat cinq rad atm, has anyone had any experience with them?

Cheers

Jayme

Made some progress with this, starting to get to the jobs ive been putting off for ages.

First on the list sort a cooling system, bit of searching the right radiator came up on ebay and it was bought.

image_zpsrbyoodpi.jpeg

Knew it was going to be a challenge to get it in neatly, bit of cutting i managed to get it into the space I had.

image%201_zps0ab2jznx.jpeg

Started piping it, whilst i was at it i thew the alternator in to check it fits right

th_image%202_zpsc5ti15ys.jpeg

Waiting on some more supplies and have to order my expansion tank from fushion fab. still have mounts to sort for the rad and alternator. Will be using some 3D CAD and getting it all laser cut.

Next up the bonnet, in my eyes this just had to fit flat, the raisers look imo doesn't suit them. This was the first test.

image%203_zpsgga9gfcy.jpeg

Ended up chopping, new engine mounts and some modifications to the steady to rock the engine back more which all resulted in what i wanted.

Still have to mount it permanently in place, going to see a friend tomorrow to get some plates made from alloy plate before i order some trick little push button fasteners.

next ive been dreading fitting arches, part of this build to me is getting the ride height sitting how i envisioned it.

The car has to have a low wide stance. So i started by setting the ride height and gapping the bump stops, this gives me a better idea where i could fix the arches. Ive saw cars where the rear sits to low in comparison with the front so ive set my ride height 10mm higher in the rear, at the final height this leaves it slightly nose down.

On the first attempt i managed to max out the rear suspension where it wouldnt physically adjust any lower, for this i modified a few parts to get to drop another 15mm.

I also ensured that on full droop the adjuster wont fall out of the cone. Took some time but im happy i took the time to do so.

Cheers for looking

Absolutely loved the 2014 look, and one of the pictures is saved on my ipad from back then. Great thread on the latest developments, and look forward to following the progress.

How did you modify the engine mounts and steady. I will have the same issue shortly.

Friend is going to do some simple photoshops with a few color combos so I threw on the lights to see how it was going to look.

Made some progress with this in the very little time I have with it recently.

firstly i like this pic so im going to post it lol

Love how this sits on the 13" splits.

next i recessed my bulkhead to move my engine back more

13823154_1377253878956446_657772478_n_zp

reason for this was to allow more room for the rad upfront and to allow more room for a filter on the itb's

IMG_1226_zpso1y9z5vg.jpg

IMG_1229_zpsfu3454v4.jpg

IMG_1230_zpsjb0r5h4n.jpg

to give some more room ive chopped the front panel to allow for any movement on the mounts.

The coolant system is also 80% complete, few tweeks needed to the water pump outlet to re angle it to clear the hose coming off it, also need a tank for it, friend of mine came up with an idea to hide it in the inner wing which i think i may explore a bit more.

start of the month i stripped the shell down to start painting it, spent a week in the garage removing stone chip from it. All i can say is never again.

IMG_1254_zpsewtypdcu.jpg

will be epoxy priming it then spraying it with tinted upol raptor to match the top

hopefully by the end of the month i will have that done.

cheers for looking jayme

Have you worked out a way to make the throttle cable work with the ITG panel?  would be interested to to see your solution.

yea its spaced so the throttle quadrant pulls around without hitting the plate.

Throttle quadrant? Don't think mine has this, Ive been looking at changing to a similar filter but can't think of a way to attach the cable.

Any chance of any more pictures, close up please?
