Hi folks.
Quick question, can anyone recommend an upgrade headlight kit for my mini.
I don't want the sealed unit anymore.
I was hoping for halogen or better!!
If anyone has any info on a good kit and where to source it that be great.
Ps I'm fabricating my own chassis loom to keep thing's simple.
Cheers

Hi

I have used WIPAC QUADOPTIC from Mini Spares on 2 minis now with good results and that was only with standard 55/60 watt bulbs. Much better than sealed beams

Cheers for the reply slidehammer. It's great to know of someone who has used them with good results.
Can I ask did you wire them to an existing mini loom or did you make your own loom?
I read something about people wiring in two relays per headlight which seemed a bit much in my opinion but I'm sorry to say minis are new to me
So I figure since my mini was literally just a shell I wound make a simple loom myself.

You can get higher light output globes without going to the high wattage units, I.e. 100w
I have the Wipac units with Narva plus 120 H4 globes with relays, as good, if not better than driving lights.

Hi

As I used standard wattage Halogen bulbs on mine so I stuck with the standard wiring, all I needed to do was alter the plug for the side light - (which comes with the set) I got mine from Mini Spares.

I have fitted HID units, they work very good and are not dear as when I bought them, you can get some Halo lights from any mini show or mini dealer, its a straight plug and play,
