thanks you all for the replies! think im just going to go for the supercharger from the start, looking into going down the podifold route to be honest! am i right in thinking you can use the hiff 44 carb with it no problem but it needs the plenum off of a metro turbo unit, and whats the best ignition system to go with?

what needs to be modified? Had a good read of your build thread and got to say the level of workmanship is second to none!

Thanks for the compliment. Always nice to hear.
If you have a look on turbominis.co.uk the conversion's been covered before. From memory first off get yourself a turbo carb rebuild kit then the dashpot needs sealing to the body and the rubber cup washers on the spindle need turning inwards.
It's something I'm looking into at the moment as the supply of turbo carbs and plenums seem to dwindling a bit lately.

sort of one of those cases
The main thing would be budget
As you could spend a 1000 up to 15000 maybe more
Maybe worth posting a wanted add
Pm me as I can point you in the right direction who got a metro turbo lump so you could modify that to suit

budget for the engine would be about 2 - 2.5k max! and i currently have a 1275 engine which is apparently out of a metro turbo, so what are the tell tall signs its a turbo lump? apart from a stronger crank.
