So, shortly after purchasing this i found out zcars were shutting down, luckily i bought it off a guy who works there, so I've managed to still source parts and be kept in the loop!

Its a 1987 mini that has been deseemed

currently at the body shop getting bits altered

We are converting the rear panel completely to accept the mk1 lights as the lower section is ruined. turns out you can buy the while replacement panel with the conversion already done which is sweet

Plan is to save weight everywhere.

alloy hubs  (my set from  zcars are for sale if anyone wants them they're on eBay)

aluminium doors

carbon fibre roof

Carbon fibre arches

Rear Valance

Fibreglass front end

Also if anyone has had any positive dealings with suppliers please let me know

I managed to bag myself an extreme engine busa thats been fully rebuilt and is quite a high spec, just waiting on the cash as i had a motorbike crash (not my fault) then i can go and collect it. But insurance move slower than sloths

Managed to get the loom, big brake set up and rear brakes already with more bits on the way in the new year

Luckily it came with the front subframe and the rear cage.

Heres where its at so far i will update with more photos along the way

This looks like it will be nice bit of kit when it's done! Looking forward to the updates. Have you got your aluminium doors yet? I have a brand new set of Streetfighter aluminium doors with Mk1 style sliding pollycarb windows from the mini door company that I don't need any more. Let me know if that's something you might be interested in.

I did exactly the same thing I brought the vtec one that was on eBay at the same time I was fairly lucky that 95% was there I was going to go have a look at the 1 you have got but in the end went for the vtec 1 but I am struggling to get it to run and nobody knows what's wrong with it so I am pulling my hair out

You need to hit the main dealer who has a full code reader mate, as for example on vw vagcom isn't enough to find all the faults you need a main dealer to find the fault or someone who is clued up on the code readers.

I look forward to your build, I am rebuilding mine again. adding some much needed strength to the back end. why its split I did have a thought of swapping the engine, for a tuned busa, what mods has your engine got?

WOW I had the same thought as you and Have already done this!!!

I can not add a picture up, as it will not except photos from laptop, which is madness.

Full envy of the engine. mine is stock. apart from a K&N and Simson's race exhaust,  which I have just sent to get ceramic coated.
